Led by Dr. Caroline Gonzales, a Certified Holistic Sex Therapist, this series of workshops explores the ancient and present day goddess myths of the world, culminating in a therapeutic art piece. 

The Intimacy Experiment is a transformative event where you'll explore the skills we need for intimacy and intimate communication through a series of safe, fun and insightful activities. You will learn about yourself in your intimate connections, and you can use this knowledge and gain skills for more effective approaches to a partner or potential partners.

NOTE: The Intimacy Experiment is not a sexuality workshop. This event is fully clothed and all activities are optional and negotiable. You will learn about yourself, your relationship and communication styles, and you can use this knowledge and gain skills for more effective approaches to a partner or potential partners. All genders and orientations are fully welcome.

Couples will learn Seven Principles of Making Marriage Work based on Dr. John Gottman's work.

If a couple’s relationship is strong, this class will provide them with tools and insights to make their relationship even better. If a couple has a distressed relationship, this class can provide a road map for repair.

Individuals who attend a Singles Workshop are able to learn more about themselves, reflect on their past relationships, and increase emotional awareness.

 Class description:

This panel presentation, consisting of two Certified Sex Therapists who are veterans themselves, will be a Q&A about the unique experience of working with psychologically and/or physically wounded veterans in sex therapy. We will cover

1. Common issues veterans face,

2. Pitfalls to avoid as a therapist,

3. Helpful questions to ask

4. Helpful frameworks at intake and for evaluation

We will also give participants space for their own questions for the therapists.

This program meets the requirements for the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) and is approved for up to 1.5 CE credits. These CE credits may be applied toward AASECT Certification and renewal of certification. Institute for Sexuality Education & Enlightenment, Provider #11-113-C.
