I am Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and a military veteran. I earned a doctorate in Psychology but I also have an MS in Psychology, and an MS in Educational Leadership.  I worked as a teacher and behavior specialist for the past 16 years and before that, I was a law enforcement officer for 5 years. 

My work experience spans both military, law enforcement and academic settings. I spent 10 years in the Army Reserve, I am a spouse of a retired military service member and come from a military family. 

I primarily specialize in the use of EMDR techniques in order to help my clients resolve the root of their trauma. In addition to EMDR, I use hypnotherapy, sand tray therapy, therapeutic art, and cognitive behavior techniques in order to help adults who are facing stress, anxiety, depression, workplace issues and family and interpersonal relationship conflicts to improve their overall quality of life and well-being. I am also an EMDRIA Certified Therapist™ & EMDRIA Approved Consultant™  and I specialize in consulting on PTSD with dissociative features, dissociation and recovery from sexual trauma and narcissistic abuse. Finally, I am a Certified Holistic Sex Therapist™ through the Institute for Sexuality Education and Enlightenment (ISEE) program as well as an American Association of Sex Educators Counselors & Therapists Certified Sex Therapist™.

My approach is to collaboratively explore your thoughts, beliefs and life experiences to help you gain self-knowledge and empower you to live a more satisfying life.
