Kathryn Anderson, PhD, Graduate Level Intern
SUPERVISED BY DR. JENNIFER YARBROUGH, PHD, LPC-S
As a graduate-level counseling student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling M.A. program at Our Lady of the Lake University, I am passionate about strengths-based counseling that supports clients as they draw on their skills and assets to navigate life’s challenges and attain their goals. I am also a social psychology professor with over twenty years of experience in academia, so I am attuned to social and environmental influences on our thoughts, feelings and behaviors, including social structures and systems that do and do not serve us. Cognitive-Behavioral, Intersectional Feminist and Relational Cultural approaches resonate with me and guide my practice. I have two adult children, love my hometown of New Orleans and the San Antonio Spurs, and enjoy cooking and yoga.
